Harmonics Minimisation in Non-Linear Grid System Using an Intelligent Hysteresis Current Controller Operated from a Solar Powered ZETA Converter

Due to the non-linear load characteristics in domestic three-phase grid system, quality of power transmission is a challenge for researchers. In this paper, harmonics injected system due loads and solution minimisation using hysteresis current controller (HCC) presented. The proposed work consists switched dc such as personal computers, SMPS, etc., connected through rectifier unit. These with other AC inject lines. total harmonic distortion (THD) at line therefore increased. A ZETA embedded inverter an artificial neural network-based HCC (ANN-HCC) used minimise voltage THDs. To ease consumption, solar photovoltaic (SPV) inverter. output SPV regulated dc/dc converter. However, bands (Uupper Ulower) are selected ANN respect actual value compared calculated error. vector shifts next based on previous applied, thereby process repeats following same pattern. back propagation (BP)-based network trained currents’ differential functions generate structure ends when hits band. Simultaneously, PWM control waveform tracked by output. mathematically modelled MATLAB/Simulink. An experimental setup similar prototype model designed. measured Yokogawa CW240 meter results discussed.
